G,Day all , well it's been 12 months since the minimum size for flathead was increased and i'm wondering what peoples thoughts are?
I've found that i'm throwing more back than i ever have before. I live 5 min from good flathead fishing so never chase bag limits just take what we need for a feed and i'm throwing a lot back. Maybe it's too early but i'm starting to wonder about survival rates and whether the size limit increase is such a good thing or not.

I went fishing yesterday at my local spot. I noticed significantly more large fish than before.

Its hard to tell if this was bag limit changes, lack of other fishermen, luck, global warming, nuclear waste from fukushima, the super trawler, or faulty memory.

I am using soft plastics and crimping the barbs, so that fish that are left off should have good survival.
