Saltworks Showdown 2012

Little Swanport Bream Classic
Light Tackle Tournaments Tasmania in conjuction with the Lions Club of Perth will be hosting the 2012 Saltworks Showdown at Little Swanport on the 23 June
The event will be 1 day event with both kayak and boats competing at the same time
BOAT RULES: 2 people of any age as long as 1has a current boat licence and you do not need to be a member of an organisation to enter.
Boats can be of any size but must be licenced to carry 2 people and carry all safety equipment and fitted with safety lanyards as this event is restricted to 5 knots at all times.
Lifejackets must be worn at all times.
Kayak Rules: 1 person of any age who can swim as far as they can paddle, any type of kayak can be used and all safety equipment required should be on board
Lifejackets must be worn at all times and you do not need to be a member or an organisation to enter.
This comp will be strictly catch and release and artifical lures and flies only no bait or trolling and no shore fishing.
Scoring is done by a total live bream weight with 5 live size bream for the boats and 3 live size bream for the kayaks all fish will be measured to the fork.
Any fish that do not swim away will incur a penalty of 100 grams per fish.
Fishing times are 8am to 2pm, penalties apply for late teams of 100 grams per minute that you are late, Kayaks to start at 7.50am (shotgun start)
Breifing to be held on the beach on the sea side of the boat ramp at 7.30am where starting order will be announced.
Entry fee for boats is $110 per team and $55 per team for kayaks which includes breakfast and lunch (refreshments will also be available)
Prizes will be made up of cash, trophy and goods and amounts will depend on entry numbers.
Entries open 5 June and close 7am 23 June
Prefish Ban starts 1am 18 June until 7.50am 23 June
THIS EVENT IS A NON PROFIT EVENT AND YOUR ENTRY FEE WILL GO TOWARDS SUPPORTING ANGLEMANS SYNDROME ( Tasmania )

just signed up - watch out for TEAM RANGA-STAN and our make benefit glorious nation tour - possibly cooking the donuts around 2pm! :D :D

I think the Yak entrants should pass this test before they start.....just to be sure. :-k :-k

They can start on one side of the river and swim across to their yaks to start thats why they will need the 10 min start headstart :D :D :D :D :D :D

Well looks like the super Sub has been activated. May as well stay home now that Sling and Gods decendant are going as its all over! Would save me some cash too lol
