Trout opening 2010?

Postby eddystone » Thu Jun 24, 2010 6:53 pm

Hi all,

With the trout season opening a little over a month away what is everyone planning?

I'll be heading to the highlands for the weekend, more than likely hitting arthurs and Great Lake...

Last year was a bit light on for me, so hoping the fishing will be on fire! With any luck the weather will be rough enough to turn the fish on but still good enough to hit up most areas...

What is everyone else planning?

Pat

I'll be going anywhere but Woods...near death experiences are not my idea of opening up the season!!!

..waves too big, boat too small is the short story there WiHs

You'll need to be in front of him - not following - if you expect there to be any trout left!!  - Classic sling!

I may do a stupid effort and fish out west - depending on the status of the gate? Or maybe an easy day on a local stream, they usually always give up a tiny fish or two and first fish of the season always puts a smile on my face - no matter how big.

Cheers,

Andrew.

Blue Peaks if they aren`t frozen over. Been a pretty mild winter so far but that can change pretty quick. Cheers Mark.

I will head up to the Guide Dam for opening day this year, went to the Pet last open day and litteraly had to wade through the trash of others! :x

The Guide produces some big fish during the start of the season so I will hope to see a couple more of those bigguns this year.
